*Corvallis Brewing Supply will be an UNOFFICIAL drop off point for registered wines.  Some of our staff will be entering wines and will cart your wine up to Salem if you'd like us to!  They must be to Corvallis Brewing Supply by July 16th.  

Two bottles of your home made wine can win you a class at the esteemed Chemeketa Community College Wine Studies Program!  Registration is open now for the Oregon State Fair Amateur Wine Competition.  Physical entries—bottles of wine–must be received at the Oregon State Fairgrounds no later than 4:00 pm on Thursday, July 20. Block 15 Brewing Co. and Corvallis Brewing Supply Announce The 2017 AleChemist Challenge  #9- T.B.A. (Soon, I promise!)

 

Grand prize:  The winner will be entered into brew fame with a day on the Pub House Block 15 system firing up the winning recipe!

Runners up prizes:  We’ll have something fun for those close, but not close enough!

History:  Years ago, well, about 8, there was an independent newspaper called The Alchemist.   The Alchemist, Block 15 and Corvallis Brewing Supply collaborated on a home brewing competition and the winning brewer found fame through a custom printed article and as brewer for a day at Block 15 with the winning recipe!  Although the small, independent newspaper that covered modern day topics, ( movie reviews, theater and music events,) has long since faded away - like soy ink on rice paper - The AleChemist Home brewing Challenge continues!

About The AleChemist Challenge: Years ago the editor, Noah Stroup, of the no longer in print The Alchemist ( weekly independent news and entertainment paper serving Corvallis / Albany) contacted Corvallis Brewing Supply and Block 15 to start this home brewing competition. While the paper folded in 2011, the resilient B15 and CBS have strongly continued on the tradition with dedicated customers, brewers and consumers! Thanks!
